“PM Modi’s Speech at Launch of Projects in Itanagar, Arunachal”

PM Modi speech Itanagar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the people of Arunachal Pradesh in Itanagar during the launch of several major development projects. His speech focused on the government’s vision to strengthen the Northeast, improve connectivity, generate employment, and preserve the rich cultural and natural heritage of the region.

This event was not only about inaugurating projects but also about reaffirming the Centre’s long-term commitment to the northeastern states, which have often faced neglect in the past. The PM’s words underlined a new era of growth, integration, and unity.

Focus on Infrastructure and Connectivity

In his speech, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the transformative power of infrastructure. He highlighted how new roads, bridges, and airports will not only make travel easier for citizens but also unlock the state’s economic potential.

“Connectivity is the backbone of development,” he said. With new highways, better rail links, and upgraded airports, Itanagar and other towns will be more closely connected with the rest of India. This will help farmers transport their produce faster, entrepreneurs find new markets, and students access better educational opportunities.

The Prime Minister also mentioned that the Northeast has witnessed unprecedented investment in infrastructure over the last decade. Whether it is rural roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, new railway lines reaching remote areas, or air connectivity under UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik), the region is being brought into the mainstream.

Strengthening Border Development

Arunachal Pradesh, being a border state, holds strategic importance for India. PM Modi highlighted that when border areas are developed, national security becomes stronger, and citizens living in remote villages feel supported.

He pointed out initiatives like the Vibrant Villages Programme, which focuses on developing villages near international borders. These villages are being equipped with modern amenities like internet connectivity, healthcare centers, and schools. According to the PM, this will prevent migration from border areas and give people reasons to stay and prosper in their native lands.

He assured that border communities are not just the nation’s “first line of defense” but also its pride. Development in these areas, he said, is both a matter of security and dignity.

Employment and Opportunities for Youth

A large section of the Prime Minister’s speech was dedicated to the youth of Arunachal Pradesh. He said that with new projects being launched, job opportunities will naturally increase in sectors such as construction, tourism, education, and services.

The Prime Minister encouraged young people to take part in skill development programs and make use of government schemes to build their careers. He also highlighted that the new infrastructure will attract investors, open new businesses, and create thousands of jobs.

He spoke with admiration about Arunachal’s youth excelling in sports, cultural activities, and public service, and said that they are the state’s true strength. Better connectivity and development will allow them to compete on equal terms with youth across the country.

Preserving Culture and Nature

While highlighting progress, PM Modi was careful to stress that development should not come at the cost of culture and environment. He acknowledged Arunachal’s unique traditions, languages, and festivals, and assured that all projects would be planned with respect for tribal customs and ecological balance.

Arunachal Pradesh is often described as the “land of the rising sun,” and the Prime Minister said its cultural beauty enriches India’s identity. He encouraged citizens to continue celebrating their heritage while embracing modern development.

The PM also emphasized sustainable practices, pointing out that Arunachal’s forests, rivers, and biodiversity are treasures that must be protected even as industries and infrastructure grow.

Tourism as an Engine of Growth

Tourism was another theme in the Prime Minister’s speech. With better roads and airports, more domestic and international tourists are expected to visit Arunachal Pradesh. From adventure tourism and trekking to cultural festivals and eco-tourism, the state has immense potential.

He said that tourism not only brings revenue but also creates employment opportunities in homestays, hotels, transport, and handicrafts. By showcasing its unique culture and natural landscapes, Arunachal can position itself as a must-visit destination in India.

Message of Unity and National Integration

PM Modi ended his speech with a message of unity. He said that Arunachal Pradesh is not just geographically at the frontier but also symbolically represents India’s strength and diversity. The development of the Northeast, he said, is essential for India’s rise as a global power.

He praised the people of Arunachal Pradesh for their patriotism, resilience, and hospitality. “Arunachal Pradesh is the pride of India,” he declared, adding that the government will continue to prioritize projects in the state and across the Northeast.
