India’s certified multi-payload UAS for survey, mapping and inspection brings LiDAR, oblique and survey cameras to one airframe, with Indrones’ Eigenspace software behind it.
Navi Mumbai, India — October 12th, 2026: Indrones, an Indian drone technology company, has announced that its Sigma100 UAV platform has received DGCA Type Certification. The certification marks an important milestone for the company and strengthens the Sigma100’s position as a certified, enterprise-ready platform for professional unmanned operations in India.
Designed for drone service providers, survey companies, infrastructure organisations, and industrial users, the Sigma100 combines a single airframe with multiple payload configurations. This allows operators to adapt the platform to different project requirements without investing in separate drone systems for every application.
With a flight time of more than 60 minutes, the Sigma100 is designed to support extended coverage and efficient field operations across demanding surveying, mapping, inspection, and surveillance missions.
One airframe, four mission payloads
SIGMA100 changes payloads without changing aircraft, so one fleet can serve several jobs. The certificate covers these payload classes:
- Axis: A 61 MP full frame sensor camera with a gimbal for high-resolution survey, industrial inspection, cinematography, and surveillance.
- Penta: An array of oblique cameras for smart-city and town-planning surveys, including facade and 3d mapping.
- Pulse: A LiDAR payload for forestry, mining, smart-city mapping, town planning, terrain capture, and 3D digital twin use cases.
- Optic: A 24MP mapping camera with PPK/RTK for village mapping, mining, and general survey applications.
For customers with specific needs, Indrones also offers customised configurations, including customised workflow specific to your needs.
From flight to deliverable
SIGMA100 runs on EigenOS, Indrones’ in-house operating software, and delivers data into Eigenspace, the platform that ingests, processes, stores and delivers survey output. Operators plan the mission, capture with the chosen payload and receive a processed result without moving data between unconnected tools.
What certification means
Under India’s Drone Rules, 2021, a type certificate confirms that a drone design has been assessed against national airworthiness and safety requirements by an approved certifying body. For survey companies, infrastructure owners, insurers and public-sector buyers, it gives a recognised basis for procurement.
“A type certificate gives our customers something they can hold us to: a tested aircraft and a number they can plan around,” said Pravin Prajapati, Founder and CEO of Indrones Solutions. “We are building the whole chain, aircraft, payloads and software, and India is where we start. We intend to take certified systems of this kind to international customers and partners.”
Sigma100 is available to drone service providers, survey companies, system integrators, infrastructure and industrial users with Eigenspace giving complete observability of their flight data.
